The Lokacart application is an initiative taken by IIT Bombay, StrategicERP, and Lokavidya teams (https://lokacart.com) to bridge the gap between consumers and producers in India. It facilitates the transactional process between both and helps consumers order with much ease.
As of now, it is available in English & Marathi but is spreading fast in other states too with upcoming all Indian language support.
This application allows you to purchase from your sellers if they are registered with Lokacart Admin App as a seller. With Lokacart you can search through the entire product category by typing in the search tab and it caters to your requirement by searching through the available options. Lokacart is your app if you wish to buy farm fresh veggies for your daily grocery needs.
You can enter their mobile number to see their organization and buy online. Please ask your vendors to register so that you can use this app.
This application is a joint initiative of Prof Ganesh Ramakrishnan, Dept of CSE, IIT Bombay, Prof Narendra Shah, CTARA, IIT Bombay, and alumni Ashvin Gami, MD at StrategicERP and Mr. Vikram Bansal of Lokavidya Technologies Pvt Ltd.

Lokacart for individual buyers. People need to ask sellers and known vendors to register on the app and start listing their products. So in a way, it is different from other e-commerce apps available in the market as it protects grocers against competition and price wars, which is quite unnecessary during a pandemic.
